Gelclair^® is a concentrated oral gel, classified as a "medical device", that contains three main ingredients.

Polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)

A polymer characterized by mucoadhesive and film forming properties that boost the action of sodium hyaluronate.

 

Hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate)

Natural polysaccharide with anti-inflammatory and wound healing properties; in the formulation of Gelclair®, it acts as a mucoadhesive substance, able to form a film on the mucosal surface.

Glycyrrhetinic acid

The breakdown product of the active component of licorice, used as a flavoring agent.

Gelclair^® has an optimal pH between 5.5 and 6.5, very similar to the physiological pH of saliva.
